      KNOW ALL MEN by these presents that I ELIZABETH STONE of County of MONTGOMERY and State of KENTUCKY for divers considerations and good causes me thereunto moving by these presents do appoint my trusty Friend and Husband, RICHARD STONE of County and State aforesaid my lawful Attorney for me and in my name to settle and adjust all my Accounts with the Exrs, of my Grandfather, SCARLET MADDEN deceased, and likewise I doe by these presents give said RICHARD STONE full power to sell and dispose of a certain tract of land lying in County of Prince William which was left me by my Aunt, FRANCES SHUTE, by virtue of being heir to GEORGE MADDEN deced., And I doe hereby empower the said RICHARD STONE to execute for me all things which are or may be necessary concerning the premises as fully as I the said ELIZABETH STONE in my person ought or could do in or about the premises was I personally present;
      In Witness hereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 10 day of September in year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety eight sled & delivered in the presence of us JOHN HAMILTON, farmer ELIZABETH STONE

      BE IT KNOWN that on the 10 day of September in the year 1798, before us came ELIZABETH STONE above named and acknowledged the above Letter of Attorney to be her act and deed; In Testimony whereof we have hereunto set our hand and seal the day and year aforesaid WM: ROBINSON

      MONTGOMERY County (to wit) I MICAJAH HARRISON, Clerk of the County aforesaid, do certify that WILLIAM ROBINSON & DAVID HUGHES, Esquires, who have subscribed to the acknowledgment of this Power of Attorney are acting Justices of the peace for said County;
