Found a book today at the Lancaster County, PA Historical Society (we are members) entitled "Colonial Philadelphians" by Hannah Benner Roach, pub by the Genealogical Society of PA, 1999 and thought you might be interested.
It lists the following:
1754 Taxables, page 98
Thomas Akely (sp) 16 (presumably feet of frontage) Tax is 0, 2, 8 (I presume 0 pounds, 2 shillings, etc.)
Note: Thomas Ackley to sell house on the east side of 4th near Market street joining the lot of Benjamin Kendal.
1756 Taxables, page 142
Thomas Ackley, Walnut Ward, Chairmaker, 12 pounds
William Leveral Estate for which Thomas Ackely is rated 8 pounds
