- Cletha Stanley, 68, of Amarillo died Saturday, Sept. 16, 2006.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in South Georgia Baptist Church with the Rev. Bob Miller and the Rev. Robert Field officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St.
Mrs. Stanley was born in Wynnewood, Okla. She married Bennie Stanley on Nov. 10, 1951, in Wellington. She was a camp nurse for the Girls Auxiliary and a volunteer for BSA Hospice for many years. She was an accomplished artist, specializing in oil painting. She was a member of South Georgia Baptist Church and the Lamplighters Sunday School Class.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Deborah Kirk and husband Jack of Salado; two sons, Bill Stanley and wife Jo of Amarillo and Alan Stanley and wife Teresa of Tulia; a sister, Linda Yates of Davis, Okla.; a brother, Gene Watson of Longview; five grandchildren, John, Jennifer, Craig, Joi and Leah; and two great-grandchildren, Katie and Shelby.
The family suggests memorials be to South Georgia Baptist Church, 5209 S. Georgia St., Amarillo, TX 79110.
Visitation will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
